In previous blogs, we talked about the necessary steps of perfect daily and weekly facial care.

Today we will talk about the third step, i.e. the use of a face mask after the exfoliation treatment.

Apply the face mask at least once a week, ideally twice a week.

If you use a face mask twice a week, then use a mask with green clay or zeolite at least once a week, for which we will give a recipe. For the other mask, use something simple and nourishing, for example, take a large strawberry and gently rub it on your face; you will be surprised by the results – above all, toning of the skin, which is immediately visible after removing the mask. Keep the strawberry mask on your face until it dries – until it starts to tighten your skin.

Keep the clay or zeolite mask on your face for up to 20 minutes for dry skin, up to 30 minutes for normal skin and up to 40 minutes for oily skin.

When making a mask with zeolite or clay, NEVER use a metal spoon or a metal bowl. Ceramic or glass would be ideal, but plastic can also work.

When making a mask from zeolite or green clay, it is advisable to first mix the clay or zeolite with the liquid from the recipe, which you will use to make the mask, and let it rest for half an hour before continuing to make the mask.

If you have exfoliated your face and have no intention of making one of the suggested masks yourself, be sure to apply the Aloe Gel by Lavina Cosmetics, since after exfoliation, strong hydration is necessary, which you will absolutely get with this gel.

Aloe gel for care and hydration made as a 2/1 cosmetic. You can use it as a substitute for cream, applying it in a thin layer, or you can use it as a face mask as well, applying it in a thicker layer, you just need to keep it on your face for up to half an hour, and then remove excess gel. Rub the remaining gel on your face into the skin instead of a cream or remove it completely and apply one of the natural creams from Lavina Cosmetics.

Green clay or zeolite are wonderful ingredients in face masks. They act deeply, removing impurities, detoxifying the skin, refreshing and toning, relieving acne, blackheads, redness, calming inflammatory processes, swelling, removing blemishes, stimulating the creation of collagen and elastin.

Recipe for the face mask.

– 1 small cup of clay or zeolite (it needs to rest 30 minutes in water or another liquid you’ll use)

– ½ cup of spring or mineral water, hydrolat or tea made from chamomile, mint, calendula, lavender…

– 1 teaspoon of honey

– 1 teaspoon of olive oil, almond oil, grape seed oil (cold-pressed oils)

Mix everything well and apply on the face, from the forehead to the middle of the neck or on the entire neck, if you feel comfortable with it. You can apply the mask with a sponge or a cotton pad, but it is best if you get a brush that will serve you for this purpose. The mask should not be too thin to flow down the face, nor too thick, so that you cannot apply it lightly with a brush. Adjust the density of the mask by adding liquid or clay.

When the mask has been on your face for the specified time, dampen it with warm water to make it easier to remove by washing it off.
