Lavina cosmetics has enriched its collection of natural cosmetics with three new products from the sunbathing collection: sunbathing butter, sunbathing milk and milk for skin care and recovery after sunbathing.

The most important information related to the products from the sunbathing collection is that none of these three products have a single ingredient harmful to health, therefore there are no restrictions regarding their use. Natural vegetable oils and other ingredients from the mentioned cosmetics can only benefit your skin.

The sunbathing milk and sunscreen butter will protect your skin from 96-97% of harmful rays.

It is important to note that ultraviolet radiation is present under umbrellas and in cloudy weather as well, and the exposed skin should be protected even then.

Also, it is important to follow the chart given on the packaging of each cosmetic, which roughly shows how many hours or minutes your skin will be protected by using these cosmetics.

Body butter will protect sensitive skin for about 150 minutes; average, Balkan skin type will protect for about 300 minutes; and dark skin type for about 450 minutes.

Body milk will protect sensitive skin for about 100 minutes; average, Balkan skin type will protect for about 200 minutes; and dark skin type for about 300 minutes.

Not a single healthy sunbathing product is completely resistant to water, swimming, bathing, using a towel, therefore after these activities it is necessary to re-apply the sunscreen milk or butter.

To correctly apply sunscreen, use about 30ml of a specific cosmetic on your body and about 2ml on the face (adults).

The milk and the body butter contain ingredients that will protect you from UVA and UVB rays.

The butter and the sunbathing milk contain the highest quality oils designed to protect against harmful rays, such as buriti oil, raspberry and carrot seed oil. In addition to high-quality oils, it also contains natural minerals – titanium dioxide and zinc oxide – that physically block and disperse harmful rays. They are very important in these cosmetics, especially when it comes to sensitive skin.

SPF (sun protection factor) for the sunbathing butter, is marked higher than 30, and for the sunbathing milk – higher than 20. It is true that the products presented have perhaps twice as much protection as stated on the label itself, because the raw materials used to make these cosmetics have an SPF of 30-50, but as a precaution and for skin safety, the labels themselves indicate >30 for the butter and >20 for the milk.

The SPF factor indicates how many times longer you can be exposed to the sun, without consequences for the skin, so if you have an average skin type, which without protection could be exposed to the sun for 10 minutes without consequences, and with a protection factor of SPF 30, you can be exposed to sunlight 10×30 minutes without consequences, which is about 300 minutes.

The butter and the milk for sunbathing by Lavina Natural Cosmetics, also contain oil for faster tanning , i.e. olive, walnut, calendula and carrot oil.

The third product from the presented collection is the milk for skin recovery after sunbathing. The uniqueness of this product lies in medicinal oils such as St. John’s wort, which is a balm for the skin after sunbathing, calendula oil, shea and cocoa butter, mint hydrolate, vitamin E, glycerin and aloe gel, which will soothe, hydrate and restore your skin.
NOTE: this product should not be used during the day, while the skin is exposed to sunlight, but only in the evening or during the day indoors. St. John’s wort oil is a balm for the skin, but it is photosensitive and could cause spots on the skin if exposed to sunlight.

Preparation of the body for intensive sunbathing
One of the little known information is that you can prepare your body for intense exposure to the sun by consuming certain foods. The most important thing is that you don’t need to make a special effort or search for rare foods – it is enough that a few weeks before going to the sea, you start drinking elder juice or tea (Sambucus nigra) more intensively and consume carrots, blueberries, blackberries, tomatoes, raspberries in larger quantities.
